Charlotte County Extension Service
Serving Our Community Since 1935

"Friends" was developed as a non-profit organization whose mission is to obtain funding to provide teaching tools and materials that enhance and streamline programming efforts within the Extension Service. Fundraising generally results from class fees, program fees, and donations as-well-as larger efforts such as Master Gardener Training, Rain Barrel sales and Plant Sales. Items such as light refreshments, handouts, instructor lunches and traveling expenses, door prizes, teaching tools, and other similar materials are examples of typical purchases. Time and time again, we don't know what we would do without this supplemental fundraising engine! Most other County Extension Services have similar Foundations. "Friends" is a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c) (3) organization and presently, Master Gardeners, Bob Sieveking and Suzanne Sieveking serve as President and Treasurer, respectively, and Jane Schurr Secretary, their efforts and diligence are greatly appreciated.
